Now, WordPress hosting is essentially in its more simplest form a subcategory of other types of hosting, usually either shared hosting or VPs hosting. Now it is a slightly different subcategory just depending on the type of hosting, but I will cover both. Essentially, WordPress hosting is a type of hosting which only allows WordPress or is only optimized for WordPress or the WordPress CMS or content management system.
This basically means that you won't be able to host any other CMS or content management systems on your server. However, it will be optimized for WordPress as to provide the best speeds possible for a WordPress website, as well as the best security and best performance overall. Now the two subcategories, which are essentially shared hosting and VPs hosting, are only distinct by the fact tha
t one is a VPs host, which usually means you would set it up yourself and the other is a shared host which means it will be automatically set up for you. Now, depending on the one you go with, there are some different features, but overall they remain the same.
